The question I keep coming back to is..
“Why do I love Contact Improvisation?”
And “How do I share that?”
“How can I make it accessible for people to “enter the field”?”
You know when you go to a jam, you enter a kind of field.
The Jam..
The field has its own intelligence, that we are moving in and we are being moved by.
Like Steve mentioned, we can’t really teach Contact Improvisation.
But I believe somehow we can make it easier to access, to get into the zone, the flow, or whatever that state is called that we love so much.
How can people feel safe enough, and free enough, to enter this vast plan of Improvisation?
Then I question ~
What is it that I love, and want to share?
Why are people coming here?
What do they come for?
How can I merge these questions?”

Continued from last email (Pt 2/2) Here are some objections I often hear when it comes to signing up for workshops. Honestly, I've had the same ones too in my journey as a dancer. Reason 1 "I don't have enough training." My skill level in Contact skyrocketed in residencies, of 3 weeks to a month long, or 5 day festivals. I was a"beginner" by all means before then. Current is a week, with 5 day option. I tell dancers in my workshops, training is equally important as practicing. You learn...
